Module: NMS-HAL-TRAP

OID (symbolic): NMS-HAL-TRAP::maxMacAddrNum

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11606.10.3.11.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Description: Maximal MAC address number.

What is maxMacAddrNum?

This read-only integer reports the maximum number of MAC addresses the device's MAC address table can hold. Admins reference this fixed capacity value to interpret currMacAddrNum and to plan for MAC table exhaustion in dense-topology or MAC-flooding scenarios. For example, this object returning 4096 sets the ceiling an admin compares currMacAddrNum against when evaluating table saturation.
