Category: IP Routing
Description: Provides MITEL proprietary IP networking extensions for routing and interfaces.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is MITEL-PROPIPNETWORKING-MIB?
MITEL-PROPIPNETWORKING-MIB is a Mitel Networks proprietary MIB module that establishes the mitelPropIpNetworking branch of Mitel's private enterprise OID tree, used as an organizational parent for Mitel's IP networking and routing extensions on Mitel voice/data platforms. Rather than defining its own leaf objects, it declares the registration point under which other Mitel modules attach their interface, routing, and policy objects. As a registration-only module it does not itself expose hardware or software status data — any actual monitoring value (interface state, routing entries, configuration status) comes from child modules registered beneath it. It has an implicit dependency relationship with sibling Mitel private MIBs (such as the Mitel router-group MIB) that extend this OID branch. It is deployed in Mitel IP telephony/converged voice-data environments where SNMP managers need a stable OID namespace to identify Mitel IP networking components. Engineers can download the MITEL-PROPIPNETWORKING-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in MITEL-PROPIPNETWORKING-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Mitel IP telephony/converged voice-data platforms (e.g., MiVoice/SX-200/3300-series controllers)
Monitoring Examples
The sample objects mitel, mitelProprietary, and mitelPropIpNetworking are OBJECT IDENTIFIER registration nodes rather than instrumented data objects, so this module alone provides no pollable counters or status values. An admin would not query this MIB directly for monitoring; instead they would poll objects defined in dependent modules that register under the mitelPropIpNetworking arc. Because it is purely a namespace/registration module, there is no realistic anomaly-detection scenario tied to it directly.
Imported Objects
From SNMPv2-SMI
