mcmRSISysCfgSetAddrResTimeout

Module: MICOM-RSI-MIB

OID (symbolic): MICOM-RSI-MIB::mcmRSISysCfgSetAddrResTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.335.1.4.23.1.2.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: NAME = ; DESC = The value of this object specifies the \ timeout period (in tenths of a second), after \ which, an address resolution request will be \ resent to the RSA (in case the previous one \ is not answered). (Operational); HELP = Setting a very low value in a \ heavily loaded network would result in \ transmissions of multiple requests \ further increasing the network load. \ It is recommended to tune this value \ by considering the network load and \ performance.; CAPABILITIES = NET_CFG, VPN_CFG ;

What is mcmRSISysCfgSetAddrResTimeout?

mcmRSISysCfgSetAddrResTimeout sets, in tenths of a second (5-30, default 15), how long the device waits for an RSA response before resending an address-resolution request; setting it too low on a heavily loaded network can flood the link with duplicate requests.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.335.1.4.23.1.2.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MICOM-RSI-MIB::mcmRSISysCfgSetAddrResTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.335.1.4.23.1.2.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MICOM-RSI-MIB::mcmRSISysCfgSetAddrResTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.335.1.4.23.1.2.2.1 i <value>
