Description: The number of IP datagrams that would require fragmentation in order to be transmitted.

When tracking interface statistics, the counter of the outgoing interface is incremented for a successfully fragmented datagram.

Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the system, and at other times as indicated by the value of DiscontinuityTime.

What is me1200IpStatisticsInterfaceIpv4OutFragReqds?

This counter counts outbound datagrams that needed to be split into fragments to fit the outgoing link's MTU, tallied for one specific IP interface, selected by the row's interface index for IPv4 traffic. Network management tools poll it periodically and graph the delta between polls to watch traffic volume and trends over time.
