Module: LUM-OCM-MIB

OID (symbolic): LUM-OCM-MIB::ocmIfPowerOffset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.8708.2.33.2.2.1.1.29

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: An offset value added to all power levels to get an accurate presentation of channel powers at the line port.

Generally offset values depends upon board type connected. oa - 20.0 roadm - 17.0 oa26c - 20.0 mdu40 - 20.0 other - 20.0 oaraed21hg - 20.0 oaraed20lg - 20.0

OA boards have more accurate values for power offset named Monitor port insertion loss visible in the OA interface.

Note however that the reference power level values are not affected by a change of this offset. A new reference calculation should be made after a change.

What is ocmIfPowerOffset?

Sets a correction value, in tenths of a dB, added to all power readings on this interface so they accurately reflect the true channel power at the line port rather than at the monitor tap; typical defaults run around 20.0 for most board types and 17.0 for a ROADM, and saved reference values must be recalculated after changing it.
