Description: The string value used to identify the 802 LAN station's port description associated with the local system. If the local agent supports IETF RFC 2863, lldpLocPortDesc object should have the same value of ifDescr object.

What is lldpLocPortDesc?

The description of this local port that gets advertised to LLDP neighbors, matching ifDescr if RFC 2863 is supported. It's what shows up as this port's description in a neighboring device's LLDP neighbor table.
