Description: MIB from PEPWAVE for managing the configuration and status of LAN interfaces on its SD-WAN and multi-WAN router appliances.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is LAN?

This MIB, named simply LAN, is a Peplink/Pepwave private enterprise module for managing the LAN-side interface configuration and status on Pepwave SD-WAN and multi-WAN router appliances. It exposes configuration and state data for the router's local-area-network interface, such as IP addressing and interface enable status, rather than WAN-link or routing data covered elsewhere in Pepwave's MIB tree. From a monitoring standpoint it lets an administrator confirm the LAN interface's software-reported operational status, useful for detecting a misconfigured or down LAN segment behind the SD-WAN appliance. As with other Pepwave enterprise modules it likely complements the standard IF-MIB for generic interface counters while adding Pepwave-specific LAN attributes. It is deployed on Pepwave/Peplink SD-WAN and multi-WAN router appliances used at branch offices and small sites, where LAN SNMP monitoring helps confirm the local network segment stays up and correctly addressed alongside internet/WAN aggregation.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in LAN. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Pepwave/Peplink SD-WAN router appliances
  • multi-WAN router appliances

Monitoring Examples

Because no sample objects were available in the MIB source, an administrator would need to consult the Pepwave LAN MIB definitions directly, but a typical scenario is polling the LAN interface's configured IP address and operational status to confirm the local network segment behind the router is up and correctly addressed. A status object flipping to down, or an address mismatch, would flag a LAN-side cabling or configuration issue independent of the WAN uplinks.
