What Is ITOUCH-CHASSIS-MIB?
ITOUCH-CHASSIS-MIB is an iTouch Systems enterprise MIB providing SNMP visibility into a modular chassis-based device's hardware inventory, including installed cards/modules and power management. Its purpose is to represent the physical makeup of a chassis system so a management station can see which modules are present, their type, and their operational status. This makes it directly a hardware-status monitoring MIB: card presence and status objects reveal whether a module has failed or been removed, and power-management objects reveal power supply health, both of which are critical for detecting a hardware fault in a modular chassis before it causes a service outage. It conceptually parallels the standard ENTITY-MIB physical-entity model used by many chassis-based systems, though this module implements its own private enterprise structure. It is deployed on iTouch Systems modular chassis equipment, typically multiplexer or media-conversion platforms used in telecom and enterprise network environments. Engineers can download the ITOUCH-CHASSIS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ITOUCH-CHASSIS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
What Can Be Monitored
- chassis card/slot status
- power supply status
- installed module presence and type
Supported Devices
- iTouch Systems modular chassis network equipment
Monitoring Examples
No specific object or table names were available for this module, so a concrete polling scenario cannot be grounded in real identifiers; based on its stated purpose, though, an administrator would use it to check chassis card/slot inventory and power supply status to catch a failed or missing module in the chassis.

| INT firmwareUpdateSlotIndex | 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.16.9.1.1.1 | INTEGER | read-only | This variable identifies the slot to which is to be the target of the firmware update. |
| STR firmwareUpdateDefaultFileName | 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.16.9.1.1.2 | DisplayString | read-only | This variable when read will obtain the default file name from the target. |
| STR firmwareUpdateFileName | 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.16.9.1.1.3 | DisplayString | read-write | This variable contains the name of the file to be read from the flash memory card and written to the target. |
| INT firmwareUpdateStatus | 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.16.9.1.1.4 | INTEGER | read-write | This variable is used to start the update process. The agent always 'ready' for this value. Setting this value to 'execute' causes the agent to write the file specified by firmwareUpdateFileName to be written to the taget. Setting this value to 'execute' when firmwareUpdateFileName has not been written or when firmwareUpdateState is 'writing' causes bad value to be returned. |
| INT firmwareUpdateState | 1.3.6.1.4.1.33.16.9.1.1.5 | INTEGER | read-only | This variable indicates the current state of firmware update, 'idle' indicates that firmware update may be initiated, and 'writing' indicates that an update is in process. |
