vlanPolicyUseMultiSTP

Module: INTEL-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTEL-VLAN-MIB::vlanPolicyUseMultiSTP

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.11.1.25

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: When enabled, the device will operate multiple spanning trees on top of VLANs. When disabled the device will operate with VLANs on top of a single spanning tree.

What is vlanPolicyUseMultiSTP?

Enables running one spanning tree instance per VLAN instead of a single spanning tree shared across all VLANs. Turning this on avoids the classic single-STP limitation where redundant links on non-root VLANs stay blocked even though they could otherwise carry traffic.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.11.1.25
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> INTEL-VLAN-MIB::vlanPolicyUseMultiSTP

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.11.1.25.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> INTEL-VLAN-MIB::vlanPolicyUseMultiSTP.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.11.1.25.1 i <value>
