portLastChange

Module: INTEL-S500-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTEL-S500-MIB::portLastChange

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.10.2.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-only

Description: The value of sysUpTime after any interface has changed state

What is portLastChange?

Holds the value of sysUpTime at the moment any interface on the switch last changed operational state (up/down). It gives admins a quick single timestamp to check for recent link flaps anywhere on the unit, without polling every port individually. A recently-updated value combined with user complaints about connectivity is a strong hint to check port-level counters next.
