defaultFlowControlMode
Module: INTEL-S500-MIB
OID (symbolic): INTEL-S500-MIB::defaultFlowControlMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.10.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Default Flow Control mode. This is used by the object portConfFlowControl when it's value is default(1)
What is defaultFlowControlMode?
Sets the switch-wide default for 802.3x-style flow control, used by any port whose portConfFlowControl is left at default(1). Enabling it lets a congested port ask its link partner to pause transmission instead of dropping frames. Admins usually enable this on uplinks to servers that can burst traffic faster than the switch can drain it.
