inetMRouteScopeNameString
Module: INETMROUTE-STD-MIB
OID (symbolic): INETMROUTE-STD-MIB::inetMRouteScopeNameString
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.1.1.6.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: SnmpAdminString
Access: read-create
Description: The textual name associated with the multicast scope. The value of this object should be suitable for
displaying to end-users, such as when allocating a multicast address in this scope. When no name is specified, the default value of this object for IPv4 should be the string 239.x.x.x/y with x and y replaced appropriately to describe the address and mask length associated with the scope. Scoped IPv6 addresses must come from range ff.nn.nn.nn.nn.nn.nn.nn, where nn encodes the scope type and group identifier.
What is inetMRouteScopeNameString?
Sets the human-readable name for this administratively-scoped multicast address range, meant for display in a UI (e.g. when allocating an address in this scope); if unset, IPv4 defaults to a string like '239.x.x.x/y' built from the scope's address and mask.
