What Is ICT-SINE-WAVE-INVERTER-MIB?
This is ICT's MIB for managing sine-wave power inverters, typically used in battery-backed AC power systems. It exposes device identity (model, name, hardware/firmware, MAC) plus battery and inverter electrical parameters: battery voltage, inverter output voltage and power, inverter operational status and control, and transfer relay (automatic transfer switch) status. This is a hardware/power-status monitoring MIB designed to detect low battery voltage, an inverter fault, or a stuck/failed transfer relay in a backup power scenario. It is ICT's own proprietary enterprise MIB (ictPower/inverter branch) without dependency on a standard IETF MIB. It is typically deployed in telecom or data center backup power installations where the inverter converts battery DC to AC and must be monitored for fault conditions and battery health, and administrators can get the ICT-SINE-WAVE-INVERTER-MIB download to load these objects into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ICT-SINE-WAVE-INVERTER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ICT sine-wave power inverter / backup power system
Monitoring Examples
An admin polls batteryVoltage to track battery state of charge/health and inverterVoltage/inverterPower to confirm AC output stays within spec during a mains outage. inverterStatus reveals whether the unit is in normal operation, fault, or bypass mode, while transferRelayStatus confirms whether the automatic transfer switch has correctly switched load between mains and inverter power; an unexpected transferRelayStatus value combined with a fault inverterStatus would indicate the backup power path has failed.
What Can Be Monitored
- battery voltage
- inverter output voltage and power
- inverter operational status
- transfer relay (ATS) status
- device model/firmware inventory
