What Is IBM-ENETDISPATCHER-MIB?
IBM-ENETDISPATCHER-MIB is an IBM module for the Network Dispatcher component of IBM's load-balancing software (later part of WebSphere Edge Server), managing configuration and traffic-distribution statistics for a load-balanced server farm/cluster. It exposes cluster configuration counts, general packet counters, and per-cluster forwarding statistics including discarded and errored packets, along with dedicated trap objects. This is used to monitor the software service health of the load-balancing dispatcher itself, since rising discard or error counts on a cluster reveal load-balancing decisions failing or backend server farm problems, while packet-forwarded-versus-handled-locally counters show how traffic is actually being distributed. No standards-based MIB dependency is stated; it is an IBM-proprietary module predating later IETF server load-balancing MIB efforts. It is deployed on IBM Network Dispatcher load-balancing servers/appliances front-ending web or application server farms. Engineers can download the IBM-ENETDISPATCHER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
An administrator polls esClstrDscrdPkts and esClstrErrPkts per cluster to detect packets being discarded or erroring during load-balancing decisions, and esClstrForPkts versus esClstrLocalPkts to see how traffic is split between remotely forwarded and locally handled packets. A spike in esForErrPkts or esClstrDscrdPkts on a given cluster would indicate a backend server farm health problem or a misconfigured forwarding rule.
