infoAddressMAC
Module: HWG-STE-MIB
OID (symbolic): HWG-STE-MIB::infoAddressMAC
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.21796.4.1.70.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DisplayString
Access: read-only
Description: MAC address in text form. It is here to distinguish devices in trap messages.
What is infoAddressMAC?
This read-only string holds the device's MAC address in human-readable text form. The MIB description notes it exists specifically to let an admin tell devices apart when multiple HWg-STE sensor units send trap messages, since traps alone might not otherwise identify the source. A value like "00:0E:8B:AB:CD:EF" appearing in a trap payload lets an admin immediately know which physical sensor unit raised the alert.
