Description: Huawei security log end-user data management MIB for per-subscriber security event log collection and export configuration.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-SLOG-EUDM-MIB?

HUAWEI-SLOG-EUDM-MIB is a Huawei-proprietary security module for end-user data management of per-subscriber security event logs on Eudemon firewalls. It exposes configuration for which subscriber-level security events are collected, log export destinations, and export scheduling parameters. Its monitoring value falls under software/process and job/queue status: whether the log-export process to the external collector is running normally and whether the export queue is keeping up with the volume of generated events, since a stalled exporter risks log loss. It complements other Huawei security-logging (SLOG) modules and general security event MIBs on the same firewall platform. It is typically deployed by carriers on Eudemon firewalls that must retain per-subscriber security event logs for regulatory compliance and lawful-intercept-style auditing. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-SLOG-EUDM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-SLOG-EUDM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei Eudemon firewalls
  • carrier-grade firewall/security gateways

Monitoring Examples

An admin would poll per-user log configuration objects (an hwSlogEudmTable/hwSlogEudmEntry pattern) plus export-status objects for the destination log server. A growing backlog or a failed export status indicates the log pipeline to the external collector has stalled, risking loss of subscriber security event records needed for compliance. Confirming the export destination and schedule objects match policy after a configuration change avoids gaps in the audit trail.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-subscriber log collection configuration
  • log export destination/status
  • log export queue/backlog state
  • logged security event categories
