Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-PORTAL-MIB?

HUAWEI-PORTAL-MIB is a Huawei Technologies proprietary MIB configuring and monitoring Portal (web-redirect) authentication. Its objects cover supported config version, text-info-switch flag, server UDP receive/send port, trap UDP port, source ifIndex, statistics-begin time, and packet-statistics counters — authenticator/access-request/logout-request/inquiry-request errors, login-confirm errors, access/login/logout/inquiry request-received counts, access/login/logout/inquiry ACK-failed counts, and access/login/logout/inquiry ACK-sent counts. As a configuration/performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm Portal server configuration and watch authentication-request error rates on a Huawei access device. It is deployed on Huawei Technologies devices running Portal authentication. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-PORTAL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-PORTAL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei Technologies devices (Portal authentication)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator monitors hwPortalPacketStatisticsAccessACKFailed to catch a rising rate of failed Portal authentication acknowledgments on a Huawei access device.

What Can Be Monitored
