Module: HUAWEI-NGADSL-LINE-MIB

OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-NGADSL-LINE-MIB::hwadsl2ChStatusINP

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.138.1.2.1.1.3

Description: If retransmission is not used in a given transmit direction, this parameter reports the actual impulse noise protection (INP) on the bearer channel in the L0 state. In the L1 or L2 state, the parameter contains the INP in the previous L0 state. If retransmission is used in a given transmit direction, this parameter reports the actual impulse noise protection (INP) against SHINE on the bearer channel in the L0 state. In the L2 state, the parameter contains the INP in the previous L0 state. Unit: 0.1 DMT symbol

What is hwadsl2ChStatusINP?

Huawei's private-MIB counterpart to adsl2ChStatusINP: it reports the actual impulse noise protection in 0.1 DMT symbol units, but distinguishes two cases - if retransmission (PhyR) is off, it's the plain INP in the current or last L0 state; if retransmission is on, it's the INP against SHINE (single high-impulse noise events) instead. Admins use it the same way, to gauge a line's noise resilience, but should note it may reflect the retransmission-aware INP value depending on configuration.
