What Is HUAWEI-LINE-COMMON-MIB?
HUAWEI-LINE-COMMON-MIB is a Huawei access-network MIB that defines management objects shared across multiple Huawei DSL line technologies, including ADSL, VDSL, and SHDSL line boards. It provides a common object framework covering line configuration, profile assignment, and line-level state that is reused by technology-specific line MIBs rather than duplicating definitions per DSL variant. For monitoring purposes it supports checking the operational and administrative status of subscriber lines and the line boards that host them, which functions as a hardware/software health indicator for DSLAM line cards, such as a line board reporting down or a line failing to train. It is a foundational, vendor-specific MIB that other Huawei DSL-specific MIBs (such as HUAWEI-LINE-MIB) depend on for shared object definitions. It is deployed in Huawei DSLAM and broadband access node platforms in carrier access networks. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the HUAWEI-LINE-COMMON-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
