Description: Huawei textual conventions for ADSL2 line management, defining enumerated types and data formats used in ADSL2 interface MIBs.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HUAWEI-ADSL2-LINE-TC-MIB?
HUAWEI-ADSL2-LINE-TC-MIB is a Huawei support MIB that defines shared textual conventions (TCs) — enumerated types and data formats — used by other Huawei ADSL2/ADSL2+ line-management MIBs, rather than defining any monitorable objects of its own. Its content, such as the transceiver-side convention distinguishing the central-office ATU-C from the remote ATU-R, exists purely to standardize how ADSL2 line attributes are represented across Huawei's broader xDSL MIB family. Because it contains only type definitions and no MODULE-IDENTITY scalars or tables, it cannot itself be polled for hardware or software status; its value is entirely indirect, ensuring consistent representation of ADSL2 line-side/rate/state data in the MIBs that import it. It is dependent on being imported by other Huawei ADSL2 MIBs, and conceptually parallels the ITU-T G.992.3/G.992.4 ADSL2 standards' terminology that those MIBs actually expose as line status and performance counters. It is relevant wherever Huawei DSLAM or broadband access equipment implements ADSL2/ADSL2+ line management. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-ADSL2-LINE-TC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-ADSL2-LINE-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is a textual-convention support module defining only enumerated types (like the atuc/atur transceiver-side convention), with no MODULE-IDENTITY scalars or tables of its own (sample_objects is empty), so there is no direct monitoring scenario to describe; its role is purely to be imported by other Huawei ADSL2 MIBs that expose the actual line-status objects.
