Module: HPN-ICF-SUBNET-VLAN-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-SUBNET-VLAN-MIB::hpnicfSubnetVlanVlanIpAddressType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.61.1.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddressType

Access: read-create

Description: There are two kinds of ip address supported by VLAN. One is IPv4, which is 32 bits. The other is IPv6, which is 128 bits.

What is hpnicfSubnetVlanVlanIpAddressType?

This column specifies whether the subnet entry's address, given in hpnicfSubnetVlanIpAddressValue, is an IPv4 (32-bit) or IPv6 (128-bit) address. It must be set correctly alongside the address and mask values when creating a subnet-VLAN row, since the device needs to know the address family to interpret those companion columns. An admin defining an IPv6-based subnet VLAN would set this object to ipv6(2) before supplying the corresponding IPv6 address and prefix in the same row.
