Description: Manages Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) tunnel interfaces and keepalive configuration on HP/Comware devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HPN-ICF-GRE-MIB?
HPN-ICF-GRE-MIB is an H3C/HPE Networking (ICF) proprietary MIB managing GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation) tunnel configuration and monitoring. Its table, keyed by interface, records the GRE key value, key-enable flag, and checksum-enable flag. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm a GRE tunnel's key and checksum settings match its remote peer on an H3C/HPE ICF router. It is deployed on H3C/HPE Networking (ICF-based) routers running GRE. Engineers can download the HPN-ICF-GRE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HPN-ICF-GRE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C/HPE Networking (ICF-based) routers (GRE)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks hpnicfGreKey and hpnicfGreChecksum to confirm a GRE tunnel's configuration matches its remote peer on an H3C/HPE ICF router.
What Can Be Monitored
- GRE tunnel key and checksum configuration
