Description: The VLAN ID identifies the VLAN the interface is in. The corresponding row in the VLAN Ident Table must exist prior to the index being used in this table.

What is hpVlanMemberIndex?

This is the VLAN ID that a given interface is a member of, as recorded in the hpVlanMemberTable indexed by ifIndex. This is how the switch associates a physical port with a VLAN for grouping-based membership, and the MIB requires a matching row already exist in the VLAN Ident table before this value can reference it. Setting hpVlanMemberIndex to 20 for a given port's row puts that port into VLAN 20.
