Description: The keep alive timeout between a switch and a controller.

What is hpicfTunneledNodeTimeout?

This object sets the keep-alive timeout, in seconds, between the switch and its controller, defaulting to 8. Admins tune this value to control how quickly the switch detects a lost connection to the controller and reacts, such as by falling back to local switching. For example, an admin on a high-latency WAN link to the controller might raise this timeout above the default 8 to avoid false failover triggers.
