hpicfSyslogStatusChanged

Module: HP-ICF-SYSLOG-MIB

OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-SYSLOG-MIB::hpicfSyslogStatusChanged

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.14.1.0.1

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This notification is sent when any of the objects listed are accessed. For example, when the first server address is entered, the application starts [hpicfSyslogOperationsStatus is ''started'' ]. When the last server address is removed, the Syslog application stops [hpicfSyslogOperationsStatus is ''stopped'']. The value of hpicfSyslogOperationsStatus will be the new status of the Syslog application after the change. Another example, when a server address is added, a notification is sent indicating the index used to store the row information, as well as the address type, the address itself, the description if given , and the row status.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' HP-ICF-SYSLOG-MIB::hpicfSyslogStatusChanged
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.14.1.0.1

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:61009->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (294635089) 34 days, 2:25:50.89
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: HP-ICF-SYSLOG-MIB::hpicfSyslogStatusChanged
