Description: The policy for selecting the source IP address. outgoingInterface - the IP address of outgoing interface should be used as the source. This is the default behavior if no other policy is configured. configuredIpAddr - the specific IP address configured on one of the switch's IP interfaces (VLAN or loopback) should be used as the source. configuredInterface - an IP address configured on the specified IP interface (VLAN or loopback) should be used as the source. In case of multi-netted interface the lexicographically lowest IP address will be used.

What is hpicfSrcIpAddrPolicy?

This selects the policy the device uses to choose which source IP address it puts on outgoing application-protocol packets -- the sending interface's own address, a specifically configured IP address, or the address of a specifically configured interface. An admin sets this to configuredIpAddr or configuredInterface when they want a stable, predictable source IP, like a loopback address, on management traffic regardless of which physical interface actually sends it, which is common for consistent logging and ACL matching upstream. Setting this to configuredInterface(3) and pointing it at a loopback interface would make all the device's outgoing application traffic use that loopback's IP as the source address, even if it physically egresses a different interface.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.13.1.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-SRCIP-MIB::hpicfSrcIpAddrPolicy

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.13.1.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-SRCIP-MIB::hpicfSrcIpAddrPolicy.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.13.1.1.1.3.1 i <value>
