hpicfPim6TrapControl
Module: HP-ICF-PIM6
OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-PIM6::hpicfPim6TrapControl
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.122.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Bits
Access: read-write
Description: Indicates whether the PIMv6-enabled router will generate SNMP traps for PIMv6 events. The set bit means 'enabled'.
- neighborLoss(0) This bit controls whether the notification trap is allowed to be sent when the neighbor timer expires and the router has no other neighbors on the same interface with a lower IP address than itself.
- hardMrtFull(1) This bit controls whether the notification trap is allowed to be sent when the MRT table is full and the error has been originated by hardware.
- softMrtFull(2) This bit controls whether the notification trap is allowed to be sent when the MRT table is full and the error has been originated by software.
What is hpicfPim6TrapControl?
A bitmask that turns on specific PIMv6 SNMP traps: neighborLoss (fires when the neighbor timer expires and this router has no lower-IP-address neighbor left on the interface), hardMrtFull and softMrtFull (fire when the multicast routing table fills up, reported separately for hardware- and software-originated errors).
