Description: The number of Database Description packets received on the interface. This number is incremented each time a OSPF DD packet is received on OSPF enabled interface.
Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system. The counters can be cleared for any interface using clear ip ospf statistics command.
What is hpicfOspfRcvdDDPkt?
A running count of OSPF Database Description (DD) packets received on this interface, per the DESCRIPTION. Admins check this when troubleshooting an adjacency stuck in the Exchange state, and can reset it with the clear ip ospf statistics command.
