Description: The switch boots from 'primary image' or 'secondary image' based on this object.

What is hpicfResetDefault?

This selects which firmware image, 'primary' or 'secondary', the switch will boot from on its next restart. Admins set this to fail back to a known-good secondary image if a firmware upgrade to the primary image causes problems.
