hpicfIpConfigMtu

Module: HP-ICF-BASIC

OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-BASIC::hpicfIpConfigMtu

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.4.8.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: ********* THIS OBJECT IS DEPRECATED *********

This object is used to configure the largest datagram that IP will send on this interface. Note that for some interface types, this value may not be changeable, and this object will be implemented as read-only on those interfaces. Also note that most interfaces will not allow the full range of values defined above, since the upper limit on the MTU is constrained by the interface type.

What is hpicfIpConfigMtu?

This deprecated, per-interface object configures the largest IP datagram size the device will send on that interface, within a device- and interface-type-dependent range. Some interface types implement it read-only because their MTU can't actually be changed.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.4.8.1.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-BASIC::hpicfIpConfigMtu

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.4.8.1.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-BASIC::hpicfIpConfigMtu.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.4.8.1.1.5.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hpicfIpConfigMtu.1
