hmSysSwitchVLANLearningMode

Module: HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB::hmSysSwitchVLANLearningMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.40.10.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Controls the VLAN learning mode by the switch. When set to IVL Independend VLAN Learning is active. When set to SVL Shared VLAN Learning is active. After setting this variable the switch have to be restarted.

What is hmSysSwitchVLANLearningMode?

This read-write object controls whether the switch learns MAC addresses independently per VLAN (IVL) or shares MAC learning across all VLANs (SVL). When changed, the switch must be restarted for the new mode to take effect. Network administrators configure this to support different network topologies and to optimize MAC address table management.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.40.10.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB::hmSysSwitchVLANLearningMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.40.10.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB::hmSysSwitchVLANLearningMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.40.10.1.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hmSysSwitchVLANLearningMode.1
