hmIfaceUtilizationAlarmUpperThreshold

Module: HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB::hmIfaceUtilizationAlarmUpperThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.11.1.24

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Surveys the interface utilization hmIfaceUtilization and generates an alarm for this interfaces, if the given limit is exceeded. A value of 0 disables the alarm generation.

What is hmIfaceUtilizationAlarmUpperThreshold?

This OID stores a true/false setting that controls whether the device should generate an alert when interface utilization exceeds a defined limit. When enabled, the device continuously monitors how much traffic flows through an interface and raises an alarm if usage gets too high. An operator would enable this to be notified when an interface is becoming saturated with traffic.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.11.1.24
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB::hmIfaceUtilizationAlarmUpperThreshold

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.11.1.24.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HMPRIV-MGMT-SNMP-MIB::hmIfaceUtilizationAlarmUpperThreshold.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.248.14.1.1.11.1.24.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hmIfaceUtilizationAlarmUpperThreshold.1
