Description: H3C MIB for multicast data rate management controlling per-group or per-interface multicast traffic rate limits.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is H3C-MCDR-MIB?
H3C-MCDR-MIB is an H3C-specific MIB for multicast Call/Charging Detail Record (CDR) management, tracking individual subscriber multicast-join sessions for accounting and billing purposes on H3C broadband access devices. It exposes global CDR settings (status, report interval, cache limit, record-send/delay behavior) and a per-user online-information table recording each subscriber's record ID, sub-interface, VLAN, and the multicast group address joined. As a monitoring MIB it is oriented toward subscriber/session-level usage tracking rather than hardware health: an operator watches the online-user table to see which subscribers are actively receiving which multicast streams and uses the CDR cache/report settings to ensure billing records are generated and exported reliably without overflowing the cache. It has no stated formal MIB dependency but works alongside standard multicast (IGMP/PIM) features on the device. It is typically deployed on H3C broadband access/aggregation devices delivering IPTV or multicast video services where per-subscriber usage records are needed for billing or SLA verification. Engineers can download the H3C-MCDR-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-MCDR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C broadband access/aggregation devices (IPTV/multicast service delivery)
Monitoring Examples
Polling h3cMultUserOnlineInfoTable / h3cMultUserOnlineInfoEntry indexed by h3cMultUserRecordID shows h3cMultUserSubIfIndex, h3cMultUserVlanID, and h3cMultUserJoinGAddr for each active multicast subscriber, letting an operator confirm which IPTV channel a given user session is receiving. Checking h3cMultCDRCacheLimit against actual record volume and h3cMultCDRReportInterval confirms CDR records are being generated and flushed before the cache fills. h3cMultCDRStatus indicates whether CDR collection is currently enabled.
What Can Be Monitored
- CDR collection enable status
- CDR cache limit and report interval
- active multicast subscriber sessions
- subscriber VLAN and sub-interface
- multicast group joined per subscriber
