Description: H3C MIB for E1/T1 voice interface management including channelization, signaling, and voice port configuration.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is H3C-E1T1VI-MIB?
H3C-E1T1VI-MIB is an H3C private-enterprise MIB for E1/T1 voice interface (VI) management, covering channelized voice trunk ports carrying TDM telephony over E1/T1 lines, information not covered by the standard RFC 1213/RFC 2233 interface MIBs. It exposes timeslot utilization data per interface, including the number of timeslots in use and the utilization ratio, along with trap-enable configuration for timeslot-related events. Its monitoring focus is capacity/performance status of voice trunk hardware: an operator sees how much of a voice interface's available timeslot capacity is consumed and receives traps when a threshold-worthy condition occurs. It complements standard telecom interface MIBs and IF-MIB extensions since it layers voice-channel semantics on top of the underlying physical E1/T1 interface. Deployment context is H3C voice gateways/routers with E1/T1 voice interface cards used for TDM voice trunking between PBXs and IP telephony infrastructure, typically after an H3C-E1T1VI-MIB download is loaded into the operator's MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-E1T1VI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C voice gateway/router with E1/T1 voice interface
Monitoring Examples
An administrator polls h3cE1T1VITable/h3cE1T1VIEntry for h3cE1T1VIUsingTimeslots and h3cE1T1VIUsingTimeslotsRatio to see how heavily a voice trunk's available timeslots are utilized. As utilization nears full capacity, new calls may start failing, so enabling h3cE1T1VITrapTimeSlotEnable ensures objects under h3cE1T1VINotifications fire a trap so the operator is alerted before the trunk runs out of usable timeslots.
What Can Be Monitored
- timeslot usage count
- timeslot utilization ratio
- timeslot trap/notification enable state
