Description: MICROSENS G6 switch MIB for Link Aggregation Control Protocol configuration and port channel status.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is G6-LACP-MIB?

G6-LACP-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from MICROSENS GmbH & Co. KG for its Generation 6 (G6) Ethernet switch family, managing Link Aggregation Control Protocol configuration as the hint describes. It exposes global enable via lacpEnableLacp, general aggregation settings through configTable (configLinkAggregation static/dynamic, configSystemPriority, configMode active/passive, configTransmitInterval slow/fast), per-port assignment via portConfigTable (portConfigTrunkId mapping a port to a trunk), and per-trunk settings via trunkConfigTable (trunkConfigName, trunkConfigTrunkEnable). It depends on the MICROSENS-G6-MIB enterprise tree for its OID root and on standard SNMPv2-SMI/TC types rather than any LACP-specific textual conventions of its own. It is deployed on MICROSENS G6 managed Ethernet switches used in industrial and building/campus networking to configure and verify link-aggregation (port-channel) behavior, and administrators can download the G6-LACP-MIB file to load it into their MIB browser when auditing trunk configuration across a switch estate.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in G6-LACP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • MICROSENS Generation 6 (G6) managed Ethernet switches

Monitoring Examples

An operator polls trunkConfigTable to confirm trunkConfigTrunkEnable is set for an expected link-aggregation group and cross-checks portConfigTable's portConfigTrunkId values to verify all intended member ports are assigned to that trunk; a port unexpectedly showing trunkConfigTrunkId 0 would indicate it has fallen out of the aggregation and is running as a standalone link.

What Can Be Monitored

  • LACP global enable state
  • link-aggregation mode (static/dynamic) and system priority
  • active/passive LACP mode and PDU transmit interval
  • per-port trunk assignment
  • per-trunk name and enable status
