What Is FORTINET-TRAP-MIB?
FORTINET-TRAP-MIB is a Fortinet proprietary MIB (extending FORTINET-MIB) carrying detail fields for FortiGate notification traps. Its objects report the FortiGate's serial number and, for interface-related events, the interface name, IP address, and netmask, alongside a general trap type and free-text description. As a notification-support MIB it lets a management station decode which specific FortiGate unit and interface a received trap pertains to. It is deployed on Fortinet FortiGate firewall appliances. Engineers can download the FORTINET-TRAP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
