copyDestFileName

Module: FORCE10-COPY-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): FORCE10-COPY-CONFIG-MIB::copyDestFileName

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.5.1.1.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies the location of destination file.

If the copyDestFileType has the value of ftosFile(1), it is expected that the f10CopyDestFileTyp and copyDestFileLocation must also be spcified. The three objects together will uniquely identify the source file.

If the copyDestFileLocation has the value of ftp(4) or scp(5), it is expected the login information liked copyServerAddress, copyUserName, and copyUserPassword also be spcified.

What is copyDestFileName?

copyDestFileName specifies the name of the destination file for a Force10 copy operation; its description text is a copy-paste of the file-location description in this MIB, but the object's name and its role alongside copyDestFileType and copyDestFileLocation make clear it holds the destination file's name. An admin fills this in, together with copyDestFileType and copyDestFileLocation, so the switch knows exactly what to call the file it writes when copying to an ftosFile destination. For example, an admin copying the running configuration to flash storage might set copyDestFileName to "startup-config-backup.txt" so the saved file has a recognizable name.
