Description: Flarion Technologies Radio Router trap MIB defining SNMP notifications for radio router events in Flash-OFDM networks.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is FLARION-RR-TRAP-MIB?

FLARION-RR-TRAP-MIB is Flarion Technologies' proprietary MIB defining SNMP trap notifications for the Radio Router component of its Flash-OFDM mobile broadband base station platform, per its short description covering radio router events. It exposes fault/event notification data (under the rrTrap/rrTrapPrefix subtree) rather than pollable status counters, representing the general category of faults/traps for the radio-routing subsystem. As a trap-only module, its monitoring role is to alert on hardware/software events in the radio router in real time, complementing performance polling done via FLARION-DSP-PERF-MIB. It is closely related to the companion FLARION-DSP-PERF-MIB and FLARION-FOAM-TRAP-MIB within Flarion's base station management MIB suite. It is deployed on Flarion Flash-OFDM base stations (Radio Routers) in mobile broadband wireless access deployments. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the FLARION-RR-TRAP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in FLARION-RR-TRAP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Flarion Flash-OFDM base station (Radio Router)

Monitoring Examples

Only the top-level rrTrap and rrTrapPrefix notification-definition objects were available in the source, so specific named trap OIDs cannot be cited. This module is essentially a notification/trap-definition module with no polled runtime data objects, so a concrete data-monitoring scenario cannot be honestly constructed — its value is in the traps it fires (radio router faults) that an NMS would receive asynchronously.
