f10IsisSysOloadWaitForBgp
Module: F10-ISIS-MIB
OID (symbolic): F10-ISIS-MIB::f10IsisSysOloadWaitForBgp
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.18.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Unsigned32
Access: read-write
Description: If this object is within the range of 5 to 86400, the overload bit is set for both levels when isis is enabled for next startup. The overload bit remains set until BGP has converged or for seconds.f10IsisSysOloadWaitForBgp, whichever occurs first. A value of zero removes the config so that it will not be effected for the next startup.
What is f10IsisSysOloadWaitForBgp?
This read-write Unsigned32, in seconds (5 to 86400), configures the router to keep the IS-IS overload bit set at startup until BGP has converged, or until this timer expires, whichever comes first. Admins rely on this to prevent the router from being used for IS-IS transit before its BGP routing information is complete, avoiding blackholed traffic during the startup window. For example, an admin might set this to 900 seconds so the router waits up to 15 minutes for BGP convergence, but no longer, before dropping out of overload state.
