f10IsisSysOloadSetOloadOnStartupUntil

Module: F10-ISIS-MIB

OID (symbolic): F10-ISIS-MIB::f10IsisSysOloadSetOloadOnStartupUntil

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6027.3.18.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: If this object is within the range of 5 to 86400, the overload bit is set for both levels when isis is enabled for next startup. The overload bit remains set for seconds.f10IsisSysOloadSetOloadOnStartupUntil. When f10IsisSysOloadSetOloadOnStartupUntil seconds have elapsed,the overload flag remains set if the implementation has run out of memory. Else, the system clears the overload bit. In addition to the value limits, a value of zero removes the config so that it will not be effected in the next startup.

What is f10IsisSysOloadSetOloadOnStartupUntil?

This read-write Unsigned32, in seconds (5 to 86400), configures the router to automatically set the IS-IS overload bit for a defined period after IS-IS comes up at startup, clearing it once that time elapses unless the router is still out of memory. Admins use it to keep a newly-booted router out of the transit path until its routing tables and adjacencies have stabilized, avoiding routing loops or blackholes during convergence. For example, setting this to 600 keeps the overload bit up for 10 minutes after startup, and setting it to zero removes the startup-overload configuration entirely.
