Type: TruthValue
Access: read-only
Description: The Overload state of the database at this level. If the value is true, it indicates a database that is low on an essential resource, such as memory. The administrator may indirectly force the state to overloaded by setting the object f10IsisSysOloadSetOverload. If the state is overloaded, we originate LSPs with the Overload bit set.
What is f10IsisSysLevelOverloadState?
This read-only TruthValue reports whether this router's IS-IS link-state database is currently in overload state at a given routing level, meaning true indicates the router is low on an essential resource such as memory (or has been forced into overload administratively via f10IsisSysOloadSetOverload). Admins monitor this to see the actual, current overload condition, as distinct from the administrative settings that can trigger it, since a router in overload originates its LSPs with the overload bit set so other routers avoid using it for transit. For example, an admin troubleshooting unexpectedly rerouted traffic through the network would check this object to see if the router had entered overload due to a real memory shortage.
