extremeOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit

Module: EXTREME-OSPFV3-MIB

OID (symbolic): EXTREME-OSPFV3-MIB::extremeOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.50.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The maximum number of non-default AS-external-LSAs entries that can be stored in the link state database. If the value is -1, then there is no limit.

When the number of non-default AS-external-LSAs in a router's link-state database reaches extremeOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit, the router enters Overflow state. The router never holds more than extremeOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit non-default AS-external-LSAs in its database. OspfExtAreaLsdbLimit MUST be set identically in all routers attached to the OSPFv3 backbone and/or any regular OSPFv3 area. (i.e., OSPFv3 stub areas and NSSAs are excluded).

What is extremeOspfv3ExtAreaLsdbLimit?

Caps how many non-default AS-external-LSAs the router will hold before entering Overflow state; -1 means no limit. This value must be set identically on every router attached to the backbone or a regular area, so change it consistently across the OSPFv3 domain to avoid inconsistent overflow behavior.
