Description: The variable ospfAreaSummary controls the im- port of summary LSAs into stub and NSSA areas. It has no effect on other areas.
If it is noAreaSummary, the router will not originate summary LSAs into the stub or NSSA area. It will rely entirely on its default route.
If it is sendAreaSummary, the router will both summarize and propagate summary LSAs.
What is extremeOspfv3AreaSummary?
Controls whether summary LSAs are imported into a stub or NSSA area (sendAreaSummary) or withheld so the area relies entirely on its default route (noAreaSummary); has no effect on normal areas. Set noAreaSummary on a 'totally stubby'-style area to shrink the routing table on its edge routers.
