eriRouterMemoryCumulBlocks

Module: ERICSSON-ROUTER-MEMORY-MIB

OID (symbolic): ERICSSON-ROUTER-MEMORY-MIB::eriRouterMemoryCumulBlocks

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.218.2.16.1.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The cumulative blocks count for this entry. For example, in some systems, this indicates how many times the memory allocation routine has been called since the system booted. Then, this can be used to measure the expense of an operation because the calls to allocate memory are often considered to be cpu-intensive.

What is eriRouterMemoryCumulBlocks?

This read-only Unsigned32 object gives the cumulative count of memory allocation routine calls for a module since the system booted, per the current memory usage table. Administrators use it to gauge how CPU-intensive a given operation was, since repeated memory allocation calls are considered expensive. For example, comparing this counter's value before and after a bulk configuration push reveals how many allocation calls that push generated on the module.
