eriRouterMemoryBlocksInUse

Module: ERICSSON-ROUTER-MEMORY-MIB

OID (symbolic): ERICSSON-ROUTER-MEMORY-MIB::eriRouterMemoryBlocksInUse

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.193.218.2.16.1.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The number of blocks of memory on this module which is in use. A block of memory is a unit of physical/virtual memory that can be allocated or freed by the user. This statistic can be used to check for memory leaks. One possible strategy is to note the value, do some operations, undo the operations, then check the value again - the start and end values should match. If they do not, there may be a memory leak.

What is eriRouterMemoryBlocksInUse?

This read-only Unsigned32 object counts the blocks of memory on a module currently in use, where a block is a unit of physical or virtual memory that can be allocated or freed by the user. The DESCRIPTION states this statistic can be used to check for memory leaks by recording the value, performing operations, undoing them, and verifying the value returns to its original count. For example, an admin notes a value of 1200 blocks before a test, runs and reverts a configuration change, then expects to see 1200 blocks again afterward.
