What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-MAU-CAP?
This AGENT-CAPABILITIES module states which parts of the IETF MAU-MIB (Medium Attachment Unit MIB, based on RFC 4836/RFC 2668) the Ericsson SmartEdge/SM/SSR SNMP agent supports, covering Ethernet physical-layer transceiver management. It carries no managed objects of its own — it is purely a conformance map from MAU-MIB groups to what a given SEOS release implements. It therefore reports no uptime, temperature, or load data directly, but it identifies which MAU jack/media-type and link-status objects a management station can rely on for physical-interface health monitoring. Its content is entirely dependent on and scoped to the IETF MAU-MIB it profiles. It is used by network management systems for capability discovery against Ericsson router platforms rather than for live polling. Engineers can download the ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-MAU-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
