Module: ENTERASYS-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB::etsysSntpClientAnycastBindRequestInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.38.1.5.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The number of seconds between SNTP anycast bind requests. This polling interval is used when the SNTP client is in anycast(4) operational mode and it is not bound to a SNTP server. Maintaining the value of this object across agent reboots is REQUIRED.

What is etsysSntpClientAnycastBindRequestInterval?

How often, in seconds, the client sends out anycast bind requests while it is not yet bound to a specific SNTP server, defaulting to 20 seconds. This governs how quickly a device in anycast mode will keep retrying to discover a server after losing its binding.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB::etsysSntpClientAnycastBindRequestInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.38.1.5.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-SNTP-CLIENT-MIB::etsysSntpClientAnycastBindRequestInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.38.1.5.1.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> etsysSntpClientAnycastBindRequestInterval.1
