Description: The number of seconds to wait for a RADIUS Server to respond to a request. Maintaining the value of this object across agent reboots is REQUIRED.

What is etsysRadiusAuthClientRetryTimeout?

This object sets the number of seconds the RADIUS client waits for a response from a RADIUS server before considering the request unanswered, and its value must survive a device reboot. Administrators tune it to match network latency to the RADIUS server — too short a value triggers unnecessary retries and login delays for users authenticating via 802.1X or MAC authentication, while too long a value stalls failover to a backup server. For example, an admin might raise this toward 10 seconds if the RADIUS server sits across a slow WAN link and clients are seeing spurious authentication timeouts.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-RADIUS-AUTH-CLIENT-MIB::etsysRadiusAuthClientRetryTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.4.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-RADIUS-AUTH-CLIENT-MIB::etsysRadiusAuthClientRetryTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.4.1.1.1 i <value>
