etsysMultiAuthSystemMode

Module: ENTERASYS-MULTI-AUTH-MIB

OID (symbolic): ENTERASYS-MULTI-AUTH-MIB::etsysMultiAuthSystemMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.46.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The value strictIeee8021x(1) will cause the device to authenticate in strict adherence to IEEE Std. 802.1X-2001. In this mode no other authentication mechanisms will be active. While in this mode, changes may be made to other objects in the MIB, but they will have no effect on the operation of the device until such time as the system mode is changed to etsysMultiAuth(2). A set of this object to a value of etsysMultiAuth(2) will cause the device to authenticate using multiple authenticators simultaneously.

What is etsysMultiAuthSystemMode?

Switches the device between strict 802.1X-only authentication (strictIeee8021x) and Enterasys's multi-method mode (etsysMultiAuth) that runs several authenticators simultaneously; changes to other multi-auth objects have no effect until this is set to etsysMultiAuth(2).

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.46.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-MULTI-AUTH-MIB::etsysMultiAuthSystemMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.46.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ENTERASYS-MULTI-AUTH-MIB::etsysMultiAuthSystemMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5624.1.2.46.1.1.4.1 i <value>
