Description: The Energy Efficient Ethernet LLDP TLV transmission status.

What is etsysDot3LldpExtEeeTLVTxEnable?

This setting controls whether the switch advertises its EEE capabilities and settings to the connected link partner via LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) type-length-value messages on this interface. Administrators enable this so that EEE-aware devices on both ends of a link can negotiate and coordinate their low-power idle timers correctly through LLDP rather than relying solely on local configuration. For example, turning this on for a port connecting to an EEE-capable server ensures the switch and server exchange the LLDP information needed to properly synchronize their energy-saving behavior.
